Ghana international Prince Owusu maintained his impressive scoring streak in Major League Soccer, finding the net once again as CF Montreal secured a dramatic away victory over Columbus Crew.
The forward wasted little time making his mark at Lower.com Field, breaking the deadlock just five minutes after kick-off. Owusu latched onto a defence-splitting delivery from Hennadii Synchuk before cutting inside and producing a composed finish from a tight angle that left Columbus goalkeeper Patrick Schulte with no chance.
Montreal’s advantage, however, proved short-lived.
The hosts were handed a route back into the contest 15 minutes later when Thomas Gillier inadvertently turned the ball into his own net, restoring parity before the interval.

Montreal ultimately had the final say after the restart. Noah Streit delivered the decisive blow with a spectacular strike from distance, unleashing a powerful effort from around 35 yards to send the visitors in front late in the contest.
Owusu’s evening ended with ten minutes still on the clock as he was withdrawn for former Arsenal and Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez.
The latest goal takes the Ghanaian’s tally to 12 in the MLS campaign, further underlining his emergence as one of the league’s most dangerous finishers since making the move to North America in 2023.
