Vision FC head coach Nana Kweku Agyemang cut a visibly frustrated figure after watching his side labour to a goalless draw against Basake Holy Stars in their Ghana Premier League Week 27 encounter.
The match, played at the Nii Adjei Karaku II Sports Complex in Tema on Saturday, failed to produce the spark expected from the home side, as both teams settled for a point apiece after 90 uneventful minutes.
Despite enjoying spells of possession and territorial advantage, Vision FC struggled to translate their approach into meaningful chances, with Holy Stars offering little in attack but doing enough defensively to frustrate the hosts.
Reflecting on the outcome, Agyemang did not hide his dissatisfaction, pointing to a lack of discipline in executing the team’s tactical blueprint.
“I’m disappointed. This is the only word that has been going through my head since the final whistle blew. It’s very disappointing to come home and fail to win against a team that came here and created nothing but got a point to go home. So, I’m extremely disappointed,” Nana Kweku Agyemang said.
The coach’s remarks underline concerns about his team’s inability to impose themselves in matches they are expected to control, particularly on home soil.
The stalemate sees Vision FC remain in mid-table, currently sitting ninth with 35 points. Attention now shifts to their upcoming fixture, where they will look to rediscover their cutting edge against Heart of Lions.
