Vision FC have sanctioned the temporary departure of their captain, Nana Kusi Asante, with the highly rated midfielder sealing a move to Kenyan Premier League side Police FC during the ongoing transfer window.

The 20-year-old joins the Nairobi-based outfit on a one-year loan and is expected to be an integral part of Police FC’s ambitions for the remainder of the season. His move marks a significant step in his young career as he seeks regular top-flight exposure outside Ghana.

Asante leaves Vision FC after a solid campaign in which he featured 17 times across all competitions. During that spell, the energetic midfielder found the net once and also registered an assist, while shouldering leadership responsibilities as club captain.

Now set for a new challenge in Kenya, Asante will be keen to settle quickly and translate his work rate, discipline and leadership qualities into consistent performances, as he eyes making an instant impression with his new club.

“We are delighted to announce that our skipper Nana Kusi Asante has joined Kenyan top-flight side Police FC on a year-long loan,” the latter confirmed on their official sites.

“Asante, before making the switch, appeared 17 times across all competitions this season, scoring once and providing an assist. We wish Kusi the best of luck in the campaign ahead,” the club added.

The loan spell presents a major opportunity for Asante to test himself in a new footballing environment, with the midfielder hopeful that a productive stint in Kenya could pave the way for a permanent move to Police FC.
