Ghanaian winger Christopher Bonsu Baah is preparing for a new phase of his career following the arrival of Brendan Rodgers as head coach of Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah.

The experienced Irish tactician was officially unveiled on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, after putting pen to paper on a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until June 2028. His appointment signals a major statement of intent from Al Qadsiah, who are positioning themselves to rise into the elite bracket of Asian football.

For Bonsu Baah, Rodgers’ arrival brings renewed opportunity and heightened expectations. The highly rated wide man only joined the Saudi outfit in the summer, completing a four-year deal, after Al Qadsiah splashed more than €15 million to secure his services from Belgian club KRC Genk.

The 20-year-old has steadily been integrating into his new environment and has already featured prominently across competitions. He has made 12 appearances in total, spanning the Saudi Pro League, the King’s Cup, and the Saudi Super Cup, registering two goals and two assists along the way.

His Al Qadsiah journey began dramatically in the Saudi Super Cup semifinal, where he announced himself with an assist but saw his night end early after being sent off. He later opened his league scoring account in September, finding the net in a hard-fought 2-2 draw against giants Al Hilal.

Under Rodgers’ leadership, Bonsu Baah is expected to assume greater responsibility as Al Qadsiah look to evolve into a more dynamic and competitive force. The new manager has also assembled a familiar backroom team, with former Celtic coaches John Kennedy and Jack Lyons joining the technical staff.

With a proven coach on the touchline and growing belief within the squad, Bonsu Baah now has the platform to elevate his game and cement his status as one of Al Qadsiah’s most influential attacking weapons in the seasons ahead.
