Kudus strikes but Spurs suffer shock home loss to Fulham

Tottenham Hotspur endured a frustrating night in North London despite a brilliant second-half strike from Mohammed Kudus, as Fulham marched away with a 2-1 victory on Saturday.

The visitors blew the contest open almost immediately, punishing Spurs with two rapid-fire goals before the home side could settle. Kenny Tete’s early effort — a deflected drive from the edge of the area — wrong-footed Guglielmo Vicario to give Fulham the lead. Barely minutes later, chaos struck. Vicario misjudged a charge off his line, surrendered possession under pressure, and Harry Wilson gleefully lofted a curling finish into an unguarded net from long range.

A brilliant finish from Mo to halve the deficit. COYS!

Shell-shocked and disjointed, Tottenham spent the remainder of the first half scrambling to keep the scoreline respectable, with Samuel Chukwueze rattling the post as Fulham threatened to run away with it.

After the break, Thomas Frank’s men finally showed some bite and urgency. Their reward came through Kudus, who produced a moment of individual brilliance — a clean, rising volley that flew into the top corner — dragging Spurs back into the showdown and igniting belief around the stadium.

But despite a late surge and heavy pressure, Tottenham couldn’t prise open Fulham’s disciplined back line. The final whistle was met with audible disapproval from the home supporters, frustrated by another missed opportunity.

The defeat leaves Spurs languishing in 10th place, precariously perched just a single point above Fulham. Kudus, however, continues to be a bright spark, taking his tally to seven goal involvements since his summer switch from West Ham.
