Hearts of Oak have officially announced that they will relocate their remaining 2025/26 Ghana Premier League home fixtures to the University of Ghana Stadium, leaving behind the Accra Sports Stadium.

While the club has not disclosed a specific reason for the switch, the decision comes amid growing calls from supporters for a new home ground, following a series of underwhelming performances on their traditional turf.

This season has been a challenging one for the Phobians at the Accra Sports Stadium. From five home outings, they have only managed six points, ranking them as the league’s second-poorest performers on their own pitch.

Their lone victory came in a narrow 1-0 triumph over bottom-placed Techiman Eleven Wonders. Meanwhile, a home loss to arch-rivals Asante Kotoko and a string of draws have punctuated their campaign.

Hearts of Oak are scheduled to make their debut at the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday, November 29, when they face Vision FC in what promises to be a pivotal clash.
