Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante once again proved his growing influence, playing a key role as Coventry City dismantled Swansea City in a dominant English Championship display.

The Black Stars striker featured from the start and made his presence count before being withdrawn just past the hour mark, as Coventry cruised to a convincing 3-0 victory in their Matchday 39 clash on Saturday at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Coventry’s control of the contest was evident early on, and their breakthrough arrived in the 32nd minute. Thomas-Asante stepped up with confidence and calmly dispatched a penalty, giving the visitors a deserved lead and setting the tone for what followed.

Barely six minutes later, Matt Grimes extended the advantage with a sharp finish in the 38th minute, leaving the hosts struggling to regain composure as the game slipped further from their grasp.

Before Swansea could regroup, Coventry struck again. Tatsuhiro Sakamoto added a third goal before halftime, capping off a devastating opening 45 minutes that effectively ended the contest.

With a comfortable cushion in place, Coventry shifted gears after the restart, managing the game efficiently and denying Swansea any route back into proceedings. The scoreline remained unchanged through the second half as the visitors secured a valuable three points on the road.

Thomas-Asante’s latest contribution further highlights his importance this campaign. The forward continues to deliver consistently, now boasting 12 goals and four assists in just 27 Championship appearances, numbers that underline his growing status as a key figure in Coventry’s attacking line.
