Ghanaian forward Jonathan Sowah has publicly pushed back against accusations levelled by Simba Sports Club, firmly rejecting any suggestion of misconduct and calling for a swift resolution to the ongoing dispute.

The striker, who previously starred for Medeama SC, described the claims as unfounded and maintained that he adhered to all team directives during the period in question.

Simba had alleged that Sowah declined to participate in a training session ahead of their 17 February fixture against Greenland FC. However, the forward has categorically dismissed that version of events.

“I completed the activation workout that was required,” Sowah said. “Because I was suspended, I was not allowed to train on the pitch with the team or be part of the match. After I finished the session, the trainer allowed me to leave.”

Addressing a separate accusation that he skipped a top-up session on 22 February, Sowah pointed to logistical issues as the root of the misunderstanding. According to him, delays involving the team bus left him without his training gear at the scheduled time.

“The training was later done at the team hotel with my teammates and the physical trainer,” he explained. “There is video evidence that shows the session happened.”

With both sides presenting contrasting accounts, the situation remains unresolved, though Sowah has made it clear he is eager for clarity and closure as soon as possible.
