Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo has once again found himself in the spotlight after his breathtaking goal against Fulham earned him a nomination for the Premier League’s Goal of the Month award for October.

The AFC Bournemouth forward dazzled fans at the Vitality Stadium with a moment of individual brilliance, weaving his way past two defenders before drilling the ball beyond a helpless Bernd Leno to spark his side’s comeback in a 3-1 victory.

That goal was the first of his brace on the day, and it has now been shortlisted among the best finishes of the month — marking the second time this season that Semenyo has been recognized for his attacking artistry.

The 25-year-old faces stiff competition for the prize, with Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah, Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo, and Bournemouth teammate Justin Kluivert also making the shortlist. Others vying for the accolade include Loum Tchaouna of Burnley, Newcastle’s Nick Woltemade, Aston Villa’s Emiliano Buendía, and Zian Flemming, also of Burnley.

Semenyo was previously in contention for the same honour in September following his thunderous strike against Liverpool on the opening weekend, a goal that highlighted his growing confidence and importance in Andoni Iraola’s attacking setup.

The former Bristol City attacker has been one of the Premier League’s early-season revelations, tallying six goals and three assists in just nine appearances, and cementing his place as one of Bournemouth’s most influential performers.
