Ghanaian defender Samuel Owusu produced a commanding display, scoring twice as Union Omaha cruised to a ruthless 8–0 victory over BOHFS St. Louis in the U.S. Open Cup.
Despite being a centre-back, Owusu emerged as one of the night’s standout performers, stamping his authority on the game with two well-taken goals in a one-sided encounter that underlined Omaha’s superiority from start to finish.
Come on, a center back brace? One of which was an absolute BANGER?

The visitors wasted little time asserting dominance, as Gabriel De Freitas broke the deadlock in the 11th minute. Momentum continued to build rapidly, with Sami Guediri and Dylan Borczak extending the advantage before halftime to give Omaha a comfortable 3–0 cushion.
Any lingering hopes of resistance from the hosts were quickly extinguished shortly after the restart. Owusu rose to the occasion just four minutes into the second half, powering home the fourth goal to effectively put the contest beyond reach.
The floodgates fully opened in the latter stages. Substitute Sergio Ors injected fresh energy and struck twice in quick succession, netting in the 72nd and 74th minutes. Pato Faz then added another to deepen the misery for St. Louis, who struggled throughout to cope with Omaha’s relentless attacking rhythm.
With the match winding down, Owusu capped a flawless individual outing by finding the net again deep into stoppage time, completing his brace and sealing an emphatic rout.
