Reports emerging from Ghana suggest that Samuel Boadu is on the verge of leaving Berekum Chelsea once the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season officially comes to a close.

The highly-rated tactician is expected to part ways with the Bibires despite guiding the club to a respectable sixth-place finish on the league table with 50 points after a largely encouraging season.

Sources close to the situation indicate that the club’s hierarchy has already started exploring options for a potential successor ahead of the next campaign, with internal discussions reportedly underway as preparations begin for the 2026/27 season.

Boadu took charge of Berekum Chelsea with the objective of restoring stability and competitiveness following a difficult spell for the former FA Cup winners. Under his leadership, the team produced several standout displays throughout the campaign and comfortably secured a top-half finish while steering clear of any relegation concerns.

Even though those objectives were successfully achieved, indications are that both parties are now leaning toward a fresh chapter, with the club believed to be planning a new project moving forward.

The 40-year-old remains one of the most accomplished young managers in Ghanaian football. During his successful spell with Hearts of Oak, he enjoyed remarkable domestic success, winning the Ghana Premier League title as well as multiple FA Cup trophies.

An official announcement regarding his anticipated departure is expected in the coming days as Berekum Chelsea continue restructuring plans ahead of next season.
