Prince Kwabena Adu’s blistering form in the Czech Fortuna Liga showed no signs of slowing as the Ghanaian striker once again made the scoresheet, helping Viktoria Plzen grind out a 2-1 win over FK Mlada Boleslav on Sunday.

The 22-year-old, who has been one of Plzen’s standout performers this season, broke the deadlock almost immediately after the interval. Quick to read the flow of play, Adu darted into space and calmly tucked in a precise low cut-back from Liberian midfielder Sampson Dweh, a finish that showcased both sharp instincts and composure under pressure.

With the opener in hand, Plzen settled into a more controlled rhythm, dictating tempo in what had been a cagey contest. Their persistence paid off late in the game when Nigerian attacker Rafiu Durosinmi capped off a sweeping team move in the 82nd minute, a sequence sparked by the vision and experience of former Czech international Matej Vydra.

Although Boleslav refused to go quietly, pulling one back in the 87th minute through Matyas Vojta, the late surge wasn’t enough to deny Plzen a hard-earned victory.

Adu’s latest strike lifts his league tally to six goals in 16 appearances, further cementing his rising status in European football. The goal also comes at a meaningful moment in his career, following his recent debut for the Ghana national team in friendlies against Japan and South Korea.

With momentum on his side, confidence soaring, and his influence at Plzen growing with each match, Adu is carving out a credible case as one of Ghana’s most exciting young forwards heading toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup cycle.
