Belgian Jupiler Pro League outfit KV Kortrijk have reportedly identified Ghanaian midfielder Alex Opoku Sarfo as a potential addition to their squad.
The 21-year-old defensive midfielder is currently contracted to Cypriot side Aris Limassol until May 31, 2028, but his future has reportedly attracted attention in Belgium following his return from a loan spell in Russia.
Sarfo rejoined Aris at the end of June after spending the 2025/26 campaign with Pari NN, having initially moved to the Russian club on loan in September 2025.
Born in Accra, Sarfo joined Aris from Benab FC in July 2023. His first season with the Limassol club was followed by another temporary move, this time to fellow Cyprus-based side AEZ Zakaki.
He has gradually built substantial top-flight experience in Cyprus, accumulating 46 league appearances and registering one assist. He also featured nine times during the championship round, where he found the net once, while making four appearances in the Kypello Kyprou.
Sarfo’s performances have helped establish him as a player of growing interest, with his current market valuation reported at around €1 million.
A transfer to Kortrijk would represent another significant step in his development, potentially taking him from the Cyprus League into the Belgian top flight.
For now, however, the Belgian club’s interest remains at the exploratory stage, with no agreement between Kortrijk and Aris Limassol confirmed.
With Sarfo still tied to Aris for almost two more years, any prospective move would depend on whether Kortrijk decide to formalise their interest and whether the Cypriot club are prepared to sanction his departure.
