Mohammed Kudus finally etched his name onto the UEFA Champions League scoresheet for Tottenham Hotspur, capping off a dominant 3–0 win over Slavia Prague on Tuesday night.

The Ghanaian playmaker was trusted from the start in the crucial Matchday 6 fixture and delivered a lively 58-minute shift before making way for Mathys Tel. Spurs needed a spark to settle into the game, and it came midway through the first half, albeit in unexpected fashion, when Slavia defender David Zima misjudged a corner and nodded the ball past his own goalkeeper.

Tottenham returned from the interval with greater urgency, and the pressure quickly told. Five minutes into the second half, VAR upheld a penalty decision, presenting Kudus with a golden opportunity. The 24-year-old showed no hesitation, stroking his effort straight down the middle to claim his first Champions League goal in Spurs colours and extend the advantage.

The London side later put the match well beyond reach in the 79th minute with a second penalty. Although Jindřich Staněk initially kept out Xavi Simons’ attempt, the rebound scrambled over the line to complete a commanding night for Ange Postecoglou’s men.

Kudus, who arrived from West Ham United in the summer window, now sits on eight goal involvements across all competitions. With confidence surging and his European account finally opened, he heads into the weekend’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest looking to maintain his upward trajectory.
