Ghana international Kwasi Sibo has surfaced as a potential midfield option for West Ham United after the free-agent was offered to the English Championship side during the ongoing summer transfer window, according to Footy-Africa.

The 28-year-old is currently unattached following the expiry of his contract with Spanish outfit Real Oviedo in July, a situation that has made him an appealing prospect for clubs seeking experienced reinforcements without paying a transfer fee.

Reports have indicated that Sibo’s representatives have presented the midfielder to West Ham, with the Hammers weighing up several options as they look to bolster their engine room ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

At this stage, however, discussions have not progressed into formal negotiations, with the Championship club still assessing whether to advance their interest.

Sibo heads into the market after an impressive stint in Spanish football, where he earned a reputation for his defensive discipline, relentless work ethic and ability to dictate the tempo from deep midfield. His consistent displays also earned him recognition with the Ghana national team, further enhancing his profile.

The midfielder’s availability as a free agent could prove to be a significant advantage for West Ham, who are exploring cost-effective additions capable of strengthening the squad without requiring a sizeable transfer outlay.

While no agreement is imminent, a move to England remains a genuine possibility for the Black Stars midfielder as he searches for the next destination in his career, with West Ham among the clubs now considering the experienced Ghanaian.
