Interest in Ghanaian midfielder Aziz Issah is beginning to intensify across Europe after Barcelona opted against making his stay at the club permanent, Footy-Africa understands through sources close to the player.
The highly-rated youngster is now attracting attention from multiple clubs on the continent following the end of his spell with Barcelona Atlètic, with talks already underway regarding the next destination in his career.
“There are several clubs in Europe who are interested,” the source told Footy-Africa. “But the aim is to take into consideration all the necessary considerations before committing. I can’t name names for now, but we are working on a long-term solution for him.”
The development follows Barcelona’s decision not to trigger the clause that would have allowed the Spanish giants to secure the midfielder on a permanent transfer after his stint in Catalonia.
“Aziz will leave Barcelona. After two loan spells, we believe it’s enough. Barcelona didn’t take up option for a purchase,” the source added.
Barcelona Atlètic are preparing for a significant rebuild ahead of the upcoming campaign, with club legend Juliano Belletti expected to oversee sweeping changes within the reserve side setup.
Despite his departure, Issah is understood to have left a positive impression during his time in Spain. His displays in the Segunda Federación reportedly caught the eye of scouts from several European leagues, reinforcing his reputation as one of Ghana’s most exciting emerging midfield prospects.

The 20-year-old’s current deal with Dreams FC is scheduled to run out in June, though indications suggest the club and player are likely to agree on an extension before any permanent move materialises.
With his Barcelona chapter now coming to an end, the focus for Issah and his representatives is centred on identifying a project capable of offering stability, growth and long-term development as he takes the next step in his professional journey.
During the 2025-26 season, Issah made 20 appearances for Barcelona Atlètic in Spain’s fourth tier, registering four goals and one assist.
