Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has issued a stern rallying cry to his players ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, demanding unwavering concentration, strict discipline, and complete dedication as the Black Stars enter the final stretch of preparations.
With the countdown to Ghana’s global campaign now intensifying, the experienced Portuguese manager has made it clear that only total commitment will be accepted as the four-time African champions seek to make a strong statement on football’s biggest stage.
In a message shared through the Ghana Football Association, Queiroz stressed that the road to success at the World Cup would require sacrifice, mental strength, and a collective mindset from both players and supporters.
“40 days to honour the pride, passion, and dreams of Ghana. Absolute focus. Maximum discipline. Total sacrifice. No distractions. No excuses. Only commitment to excellence,” Queiroz said.

The Black Stars have been drawn into a demanding Group L where they will begin their tournament against Panama on June 17 before facing heavyweight clashes against England and Croatia in their remaining group fixtures.
As part of the build-up to the tournament in North America, Ghana will also test themselves in high-profile international friendlies against Mexico and Wales, matches expected to offer Queiroz a clearer picture of his squad’s readiness ahead of the World Cup.
