Samuel Amo-Ameyaw delivered a standout performance on Thursday night, playing a decisive role in Strasbourg’s 2–1 triumph over BK Hacken in the UEFA Conference League.

The English-Ghanaian starlet was handed a starting berth at the Gamla Ullevi Stadium and wasted no time stamping his authority on the contest. Full of pace and purpose, he repeatedly stretched Hacken’s back line and linked up fluidly with Strasbourg’s forward runners.

His brightest moment arrived on the hour mark. Spotting space inside the box, Amo-Ameyaw slipped a perfectly weighted pass into the path of Martial Godo, who swept home Strasbourg’s second goal with conviction. It proved to be the match-winner.

Strasbourg had already taken control earlier in the evening when Julio Enciso nodded in a well-crafted opener in the 21st minute, meeting Godo’s precise delivery. Hacken offered a response moments after Godo’s strike, with John Paul Dembe pulling one back in the 62nd minute, but Strasbourg’s organised defending kept the Swedish side from finding an equalizer.

Amo-Ameyaw’s mature, energetic display drew warm praise from the traveling supporters, who watched their team command 59% of possession and manage the game with confidence.

With European business handled, Strasbourg now turn their attention to domestic duties as they prepare to face Lille on November 9.
