Ghanaian youngster Abdul Hakim Sulemana is on the verge of completing a move to Scottish Premiership outfit St Mirren after the club reached an agreement to sign the winger ahead of the 2026/27 season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 21-year-old is expected to undergo a medical within the next 24 hours before sealing the transfer, with only the routine formalities standing between him and a move to Scotland.

Sulemana will arrive as a free agent after seeing out his contract with Danish club Randers FC, handing St Mirren the opportunity to secure one of Ghana’s highly regarded young attacking talents without a transfer fee.

The pacy winger, who is the younger brother of Black Stars star Kamaldeen Sulemana, has long been regarded as a player with immense promise. His performances for Ghana’s U20 national team and at club level have established him as one of the country’s most exciting emerging attackers.

Blessed with explosive pace, direct dribbling and an eye for creating chances, Sulemana is expected to bolster St Mirren’s attacking department as the Scottish side continues reshaping its squad for the upcoming campaign.

The Saints have been active in the transfer market this summer, with the club identifying youthful, high-potential players capable of making an immediate impact while offering long-term value.

Personal terms are understood to have already been agreed in principle, meaning the impending medical represents the final step before the deal is officially confirmed.

Once the transfer is completed, Sulemana will join his new teammates for pre-season preparations as St Mirren intensify their build-up to the new Scottish Premiership season.

The switch also presents another significant milestone in the youngster’s career, offering him a fresh platform to continue his development in European football while aiming to emulate the success achieved by his elder brother, Kamaldeen, on the continent.
