Former Ghana international and ex-Nsoatreman FC coach, Yaw Preko, has expressed confidence that the Black Stars will return from N’Djamena with all three points when they face Chad in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana resumes its qualification campaign in September with back-to-back fixtures on Matchday 7 and 8. The four-time African champions will first travel to the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4, before hosting Mali four days later at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Preko urged the team to approach the assignment with the same drive shown in previous outings.
“We know what is at stake now, and if you look at our performance in our last games, the players should go into the games with that same determination,” he said.

The former striker, however, cautioned that the clash with Chad would require focus and the right personnel, given the peculiar conditions of the venue.
“Playing against Chad will not be easy, but then we have to be vigilant and also get the right players for that game because we are playing on an astro turf, but then I strongly believe that we have what it takes to win against Chad,” he added.
Ghana currently tops Group I with 15 points from six matches, three ahead of the Comoros and five clear of Madagascar, as they chase a fifth FIFA World Cup appearance. Otto Addo’s squad is expected to assemble in Accra on Monday, September 1, to begin preparations.
