Former Ghana youth international Bright Addae has embarked on a fresh chapter in his long Italian career after sealing a move to Serie D outfit Real Aversa 1925 ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The experienced midfielder has signed a one-year contract with the ambitious club, who believe his arrival will strengthen their push for promotion.
Having spent more than a decade in Italian football, Addae brings a wealth of experience across the country’s top lower divisions, making him one of the most accomplished players in the league.

Real Aversa celebrated the signing with an enthusiastic statement, describing the Ghanaian as a marquee acquisition capable of transforming the club’s ambitions.
“A purchase that raises the bar, ignites the enthusiasm of the square and sends a strong message to the entire championship. The Real Aversa 1925 scores a sensational blow to secure the performance of Ghanaian midfielder Bright Christopher Addae, a footballer of international intensity, charismatic leader and a genuine man of experience,” posted the club on social media.
“The arrival of the class of 1992 represents much more than just a reinforcement: it’s a declaration of intentions. The Grenade company brings to Aversa a player who has written important pages of Italian football, a star for years including Serie B, Serie C and Serie D, with a career built through over four hundred official appearances,” added the club.
Addae makes the switch after concluding a successful spell with Nardò, where he served as club captain. During his time there, he featured in 96 matches and guided the Apulian outfit to the Serie D promotion playoffs.
The 33-year-old’s career in Italy has been defined by remarkable consistency. He has amassed 163 appearances in Serie B while representing clubs such as Ascoli and Juve Stabia, in addition to 50 outings in Serie C and another 150 matches in Serie D.
A former Ghana U20 international, Addae now heads to Real Aversa with the task of providing leadership, experience and quality as the club targets a successful 2026/27 season.
