Promising Ghanaian attacker Jerry Afriyie shared his thoughts with Footy-Africa after sealing a season-long loan move to Belgian Pro League side RAAL La Louviere.
The 18-year-old forward moves to Belgium from Saudi outfit Al-Qadsiah.
“I see this move as a big step in my journey. Belgium has produced so many top talents, and I want to test myself in an environment where the competition is intense,” he said, talking exclusively to Footy-Africa.
“Every time I step onto the pitch, I remember where I come from. Playing for La Louvière is not just about me, it’s about showing that young Ghanaian players can adapt, fight, and thrive anywhere. I’m ready to give everything to help the team succeed and, at the same time, keep developing as a striker,” Afriyie added.
The 18-year-old attacker, widely regarded as one of the brightest products of Ghana’s youth system, joined the Belgian side after catching the eye during a spell at Spanish club CD Lugo last season.
