Renowned South African tactician Pitso Mosimane has set his sights on the vacant Ghana national team job, following the exit of Otto Addo earlier on Tuesday.
According to Footy-Africa, a well-placed source has revealed that Mosimane is keen on stepping into the Black Stars dugout and is preparing to formally communicate his interest to the Ghana Football Association.
The position became available after the federation opted to part ways with Addo in the wake of a disappointing run of results.
Ghana’s football authorities have already initiated identifying a new head coach, with multiple names under consideration.

However, Mosimane is said to be confident that his track record and leadership credentials make him a strong candidate to guide the team into a new era, especially with the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon.
Currently without a club, the former Al Ahly SC boss has also been loosely linked with a return to the Egyptian giants, where he previously enjoyed immense success. His availability, though, could prove decisive as Ghana evaluates its options.
Mosimane’s résumé ranks among the most impressive on the continent. He has lifted the CAF Champions League on three occasions, twice with Al Ahly and once with Mamelodi Sundowns cementing his reputation as a serial winner.
Beyond club football, he has handled the pressures of international management with South Africa national football team and is widely respected for his structured tactical approach and composure in high-stakes situations.
His most recent stint came in Iran with Esteghlal FC, further broadening his global coaching experience.
