Iñaki Williams delivered a performance worthy of his milestone moment, registering two key assists as Athletic Club edged past Real Betis 2-1 in a gripping La Liga encounter.
The hosts came out with intent and found their breakthrough midway through the first half. Williams turned creator, picking out Dani Vivian, who struck confidently from distance to open his account for the campaign.

Just before the interval, Williams was at it again. Timing his run perfectly to beat the defensive line, he unselfishly squared the ball for Oihan Sancet, who made no mistake from close range to double Athletic’s lead.
After the restart, Betis responded with renewed energy. Pablo Fornals pulled one back with a beautifully delivered free-kick, injecting tension into the closing stages. The visitors thought they had found an equaliser shortly after, but VAR intervened to chalk it off for offside.
Despite mounting pressure late on, Athletic showed resilience to see out the victory, snapping a four-match winless run and closing the gap on the European qualification spots.
