Kwadwo Duah was among the goals as PFC Ludogorets Razgrad produced a commanding display to defeat CSKA Sofia 3-0 and maintain their pursuit of the summit in the Bulgarian First Professional Football League.

The Swiss-Ghanaian striker set the tone for the champions with a classy opener in the 31st minute, rewarding Ludogorets after a patient spell of probing against a stubborn CSKA backline.

For much of the opening half hour, the visitors had managed to keep the hosts at bay, but Duah eventually found the breakthrough with a composed and clinical finish to give the Green Eagles the lead.

Ludogorets carried that momentum into the closing stages of the first half, and Petar Stanic doubled the advantage moments before the interval to put the defending champions firmly in control of the contest.

After the restart, Ludogorets continued to dictate proceedings, and their dominance was confirmed when Rwan Cruz converted from the penalty spot in the second half to wrap up a comfortable evening for the hosts.

Duah’s night ended in the 68th minute when he was withdrawn after another influential outing. Later in the match, his Ghanaian compatriot Bernard Tekpetey was introduced, replacing Erick Marcus as Ludogorets saw out the victory.

The result keeps Ludogorets firmly in the title conversation, although they remain six points adrift of league leaders Levski Sofia, who still have a game in hand.

Duah joined Ludogorets after a brief spell in Germany with 1. FC Nürnberg and has steadily grown into an important attacking outlet for the Bulgarian powerhouse, with his latest strike marking his fifth league goal of the campaign.
