Ghanaian attacker Frank Acheampong has sealed a fresh chapter in his career after signing for Chinese Super League side Dalian Yingbo FC ahead of the 2026 season.
The 32-year-old arrives in Dalian as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Henan FC, concluding a highly influential stint with the club.
Acheampong bowed out in style. In his final campaign with Henan, the fleet-footed winger delivered an impressive return of 14 goals and three assists, underlining his enduring threat in the Chinese topflight.

His explosive acceleration, fearless dribbling and clinical edge in the final third made him one of the standout wide players in the division.
Henan were eager to extend his stay, but the former RSC Anderlecht star opted to embrace a new project with Dalian, who are looking to bolster their attacking options as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
Beyond league action, Acheampong was instrumental in Henan’s charge to the Chinese FA Cup final last season. Their impressive cup journey, however, ended in disappointment as they were beaten 3-0 by reigning champions Beijing Guoan in the showpiece encounter.
On the international stage, Acheampong was part of the Ghana squad that reached the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015, adding valuable tournament pedigree to his résumé.

With a wealth of experience across Europe and Asia, Dalian Yingbo will be banking on Acheampong’s leadership, dynamism and proven goal threat to inspire a strong push in the 2026 Chinese Super League season.
