Derrick Arthur Kohn, the Union Berlin left-back, has boldly declared his intentions to earn the starting spot for the Black Stars as the competition heats up for the left-back position.
In a recent interview with Sporty FM, Kohn made it clear that he’s ready to battle for the role, fueled by his love for on-field challenges and his fierce competitive spirit. Despite the presence of established defenders like Gideon Mensah and Ebenezer Annan, Kohn is undeterred, eager to prove his worth as the first-choice left-back for the national team.
“Of course, I’m ready to fight for the Black Stars left-back position. I love the duels. It helps every player to get better,” Kohn expressed with conviction. “I’m ready if the coach says I’m number one.”
The 2025-2026 season has already marked a pivotal moment in Kohn’s international career, with his Black Stars debut coming on November 14, 2025, during a friendly against Japan.
