French Ligue 1 side Toulouse FC announced signing of a box-to-box central midfielder from Ghana Abu Francis from Belgian outfit Cercle Brugge.

French side confirmed that the 24-year-old successfully passed a medical routine and chose the number 17 in his new club.

“I’m very happy to be here. I can’t wait to start this new challenge, discover the Pink City and meet all the incredible supporters,” Francis told the club’s media team.

According to Footy-Africa information, Torino, Genoa, BaÅŸakÅŸehir, and Burnley were also interested in the Ghana midfielder’s transfer but the player himself decided to move to France.

Last season Francis made four assists in 29 matches in Jupiler Pro League for Cercle Brugge.
