Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has lavished praise on Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo, branding him a “special player” after his electric performance in Bournemouth’s 3-1 victory over Fulham on Friday night.
Under pouring rain at the Vitality Stadium, Semenyo was the driving force behind the Cherries’ comeback. Fulham looked poised for an away win after Ryan Sessegnon’s 70th-minute opener, but the Ghana international had other plans.
Just eight minutes later, Semenyo brought Bournemouth level with a stunning solo effort that sent the home fans into raptures. He followed it up with an assist for Justin Kluivert’s thunderous strike, before capping off his sensational night with a composed second goal to seal all three points.

“Semenyo? He is a special guy,” Hargreaves said. “Bournemouth have so many weapons, and Semenyo is just a special player.”
Semenyo’s brace lifted his season tally to six goals and three assists, a reflection of his evolution into one of Bournemouth’s most decisive players.
