LA Galaxy striker Joseph Paintsil says he is heading into Wednesday’s Campeones Cup final against Mexican side Toluca with a renewed sense of conviction after hitting top form over the weekend.
The Ghanaian international delivered a dazzling display in Major League Soccer, netting a hat-trick in Galaxy’s 4-1 triumph over Sporting Kansas City. That performance, he admits, has sharpened his edge at just the right moment as the MLS champions gear up for their continental test.

“Yeah, it also adds confidence also to my game, but I also have the confidence to also play this kind of games, like the Campeones Cup game. It’s something that I’m waiting for to give everything,” Paintsil remarked after his treble.
“I think this hat trick really boost my confidence. For that, I will just take it into the game on Wednesday and to give everything and the team gives everything, and we just see whatever will happen,” he added.
