The Italian Serie A side Bologna FC 1909 announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana on a season-long deal.
The loan of the 22-year will last until June 30, 2026, with an option for Bologna to make it permanent.
According to Footy-Africa, Sulemana attracted interest from Genoa, Watford, Strasbourg, Sassuolo and a Turkish club, but promised regular playing time became the decisive factor for his move to Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

The fifth Ghanaian in the club’s history, Sulemana is a right-footed midfielder born in 2003, who has been a regular Ghanaian international for over a year.
Known for his ability to intercept opponents’ moves and win the ball back, Sulemana can play in front of the defense or as a central midfielder. Able to shoot from distance, he is a dynamic player, physically strong, and possesses great substance.
Sulemana began his Italian career with Verona’s Primavera team in 2021/22, and after a spell in Serie A the following season, he joined Ranieri’s Cagliari in 2023.
The midfielder left Atalanta, where he played 10 games and scored two goals last year – both decisive goals in the last month, against Roma and Genoa – to begin a new adventure with the Red and Blues.
