Ghanaian youngster Issaka Seidu has secured a temporary switch to Swedish side Ljungskile SK, marking a new chapter in his budding European career.
The 19-year-old defender links up with the Superettan outfit from Danish top-flight club FC Nordsjælland, with the move set to keep him at the club until the end of the 2026 campaign. Ljungskile SK confirmed the acquisition as they strengthen their squad following promotion to Sweden’s second tier.
Seidu, a product of the renowned Right to Dream academy, had attracted attention from other Swedish clubs, including Degerfors and Västerås. However, Ljungskile ultimately won the race for his signature, offering him an opportunity for regular first-team football.
The promising left-back is expected to bolster the team’s defensive options while also contributing offensively with his pace and delivery from wide areas, qualities that align with the club’s tactical philosophy.

An excerpt of a statement confirming the loan signing of the talented defender read:
“The next new signing to join is Issaka “Baba” Seidu. The 19-year-old left-back joins the club from FC Nordsjælland on a loan deal that runs until 2026.”
Club chief Gustav Agneman shared his excitement about the addition, highlighting Seidu’s technical and attacking strengths:
“Baba is a fast and skillful full-back with great quality in the build-up phase. He is also a threat in the final third, where he likes to add to his speed and feed sensitive crosses. He is an extremely determined talent that we believe will fit very well into our way of playing.”
