English-Ghanaian midfielder Wesley Fonguck delivered another influential performance, scoring as Farnborough FC battled to a 2-2 draw away against Torquay United in the National League South at Plainmoor.
Farnborough began the contest on the front foot and were rewarded early for their energetic approach. Fonguck broke the deadlock in the 11th minute, finishing calmly to cap an encouraging opening spell for the visitors. His strike ensured Farnborough carried a narrow but deserved 1-0 advantage into the interval.
The hosts regrouped after the restart and eventually drew level just before the hour mark. Sonny Blu Lo-Everton found the equaliser in the 59th minute, bringing Torquay back into the contest and shifting the momentum at Plainmoor.
Despite the setback, Farnborough showed resilience and regained their lead midway through the second half. Mason Bloomfield restored the visitors’ advantage in the 74th minute with a well-taken effort, seemingly putting them on course for an impressive away victory.
However, Torquay were not finished. With time running out, Kieran Wilson struck in the 88th minute to salvage a point for the home side and deny Farnborough maximum points after a fiercely contested encounter.

Fonguck’s well-timed opener once again highlighted his growing influence in Farnborough’s midfield. The goal adds to a productive 2025/26 campaign for the midfielder, who has now registered six goals and four assists across 29 appearances in the National League South.
Farnborough will aim to turn this encouraging away performance into a victory when they return to action against Hemel Hempstead Town on Saturday, March 7, in their next league outing.
