Bibiani GoldStars have declared their readiness for a crucial clash against Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak, with the club insisting their impressive home form in the Ghana Premier League will remain intact this weekend.
The club’s Deputy Communication and Administrative Manager, Joseph Oti Manu, expressed strong confidence in the Miners’ preparations, stressing that the team is fully focused on securing maximum points when they host the Phobians.
GoldStars head into the fixture on the back of a spirited 2-1 comeback victory away to Heart of Lions last week. The performance highlighted the side’s growing resilience and ability to respond under pressure.
The Miners overturned an early deficit thanks to late strikes from league leading scorer Samuel Atta Kumi, who now boasts 10 goals this season, and substitute John Arthur Godfred, ensuring all three points travelled back to Bibiani.

Speaking to Citi Sports, Oti Manu made it clear that the club is approaching the upcoming encounter with confidence and a clear objective of victory. He emphasized that their outstanding home record in the league gives them extra belief heading into the contest.
“We are the best club in the Premier League in home matches,” he declared. “Fritz Schmid has done refresher training courses with the players since he arrived the last two months. So psychologically, the team was up to the task to win that match. We are really ready to welcome Hearts of Oak on Sunday.”
GoldStars currently occupy second place in the Ghana Premier League standings with 42 points, trailing the leaders by three points.
They will host Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday, March 1, at the Dun’s Park in what promises to be a highly anticipated encounter.
