Tottenham Hotspur forward Mohammed Kudus has reportedly entered Atletico Madrid’s thinking as the Spanish giants explore potential additions to their attack.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the 26-year-old Ghana international is one of several attacking profiles being examined by Atletico as they search for reinforcements.
The Madrid club, however, appears to be weighing a number of difficult alternatives, with the report describing all of the options under consideration as complicated.
Kudus’ situation would certainly fall into that category. The Ghanaian is contracted to Tottenham after making the move from West Ham United, leaving Atletico facing the prospect of negotiating with a Premier League club for a player who remains an important part of Spurs’ plans.
His immediate priority, though, is a return to full fitness rather than a move away from north London. Kudus has been sidelined since January with a quadriceps injury and was forced to undergo surgery after an initial attempt to recover without an operation failed to resolve the problem.

The injury also had significant consequences for Ghana, with the forward ultimately missing the Black Stars’ 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.
There has nevertheless been encouraging movement in his rehabilitation. Kudus has resumed light individual training as he edges closer to a return, with Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi recently offering a positive update on the attacker’s condition, describing him as “almost ready”.
That progress could soon bring one of Tottenham’s most dynamic attackers back into contention, but it has also placed his name on the radar of clubs assessing the market.
For Atletico, however, interest remains at the exploratory stage. There is no suggestion that negotiations with Tottenham have reached an advanced point, and the Spanish side are still considering a number of possibilities before deciding on their preferred attacking target.
Kudus, meanwhile, remains committed to completing his recovery and getting back on the pitch for Tottenham, with any potential transfer speculation secondary to his return to competitive football.
