England-born Ghanaian talented youngster Kobbie Mainoo should eventually become a key piece at Manchester United, according to former Black Stars striker Anthony Yeboah.
Lately, Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim stated that he prefers other types of midfielders to anchor his system. Therefore, Mainoo’s future at Old Trafford became unknown as he seeks more playing time.
Talking exclusively to Footy-Africa, Yeboah noted that Man United should not let the 20-year-old go.
“Mainoo is not just another academy player, he’s the heartbeat of a new generation at Old Trafford. If Manchester United let him go, they will regret it. He has the vision, the calmness, and the fight to become one of the best midfielders in Europe. Manchester United must build their team around players like Mainoo. He reminds me of when I first saw Iniesta still young, still raw, but with everything to dominate for a decade,” Yeboah explained.
Mainoo’s current Transfermarkt value is estimated at €50 million.
