Berekum Chelsea have bolstered their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season by completing the permanent signing of striker Diawisie Taylor, sources have confirmed.
The acquisition sees the 24-year-old return to Ghanaian football after spending time abroad with Egyptian outfit Modern Future FC, where he also featured on loan for Sudanese powerhouse Al-Merrikh.
Taylor heads back to familiar territory carrying an impressive reputation built during his previous spell in the Ghana Premier League. He enjoyed a breakthrough 2020/21 campaign with Karela United, finishing as the league’s leading scorer after finding the net 18 times in 31 appearances to claim the Golden Boot.
The prolific forward later joined Medeama SC in January 2024 for a short stint before pursuing opportunities outside the country.
His arrival represents a significant addition for Berekum Chelsea, who have prioritized reinforcing their frontline as preparations intensify for the upcoming campaign. With 23 goals from 52 Ghana Premier League appearances, Taylor brings proven quality, experience, and a consistent eye for goal that the club hopes will strengthen its ambitions.
People close to the negotiations indicate the forward has now committed his long-term future to Berekum Chelsea, bringing an end to his overseas adventure and opening a new chapter with the Bibires as they target a strong showing in the 2026/27 season.
