Ghanaian attacker King Baidoo will remain at Gloucester City AFC after agreeing to a contract extension that will keep him at the club for the 2026/27 campaign.
The 25-year-old forward has earned a renewed stay with the Southern League Premier Division South side following a string of encouraging performances since arriving at Meadow Park in 2025. His impact during the recently concluded season convinced the club’s hierarchy to retain his services ahead of the summer transfer period.
Gloucester City confirmed the development through their official X account, stating:
“King Baidoo signs for 2026/2027 season. Gloucester City AFC are delighted to announce that we have retained the services of forward King Baidoo for the upcoming season. We can’t wait to see Kingy donning the red and yellow once again next season.”

Baidoo quickly established himself as an important figure within the squad after adapting impressively to life with the Hempsted-based outfit. His energy, movement in attack, and overall contribution in the final third made him a valuable option for the coaching staff throughout the season.
The contract renewal also offers the Ghanaian forward another opportunity to continue his development in English football while pushing for greater recognition on the international stage.
Despite playing in the lower tiers of English football, Baidoo remains eligible to represent the Ghana national football team, widely known as the Black Stars.
