Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has praised club president Moses Armah Parker for playing a decisive role in the club’s triumphant 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Tarkwa-based outfit sealed the league crown in commanding fashion after dismantling Heart of Lions 5-2 at the TNA Park on Sunday, securing the title before the final round of fixtures.
Following the landmark achievement, Tanko reflected on the journey and acknowledged the faith shown in him by the club hierarchy throughout the season. The former Ghana international emphasized that the confidence and backing from President Armah served as a major driving force behind the team’s success.
“I think it’s very historic [for me to win the league title]. I think that the trust that the President [Moses Armah] had in me is something that gave me motivation, and I thank him very much and thank the supporters who rallied behind us,” Tanko said.
The championship triumph not only adds another major trophy to Medeama’s growing profile but also secures qualification for next season’s CAF Champions League.
Medeama will round off their title-winning league season with a high-profile away encounter against Hearts of Oak this weekend as celebrations continue among the Yellow and Mauve faithful.
