Salim Adams has made it clear that his international future lies firmly in the hands of Carlos Queiroz, as the Medeama SC midfielder continues to build a compelling case for a place in Ghana’s national team.
Adams has been in outstanding form throughout the Ghana Premier League campaign, emerging as a central figure in Medeama’s surge toward the title. His influence was particularly evident over the weekend, when he delivered a match-winning brace in a crucial victory against Gold Stars FC at the TnA Stadium.
That result not only reinforced Medeama’s dominance at the top of the table but also extended their lead to four points with just four fixtures left to play, putting them within touching distance of what would be only their second league crown.

Despite his impressive performances and growing calls for national team inclusion, Adams has struck a calm and respectful tone regarding his prospects with the Ghana national football team.
“Everything depends on Carlos Queiroz. I’m ready for a Black Stars call-up,” he said.
The midfielder has already been on the radar of the national setup, having been monitored during recent Black Galaxies friendly matches against Heart of Lions and Aduana FC. Those fixtures provided Queiroz with an opportunity to assess standout performers from the domestic league, and Adams appears to have seized that moment.
While the Portuguese tactician has yet to unveil his final squad, there is increasing belief that home-based talents could feature prominently in his plans.
