Antoine Semenyo reached a significant career landmark after helping Manchester City secure a 2-0 victory over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final, earning the first major trophy of his professional journey.

The Ghanaian attacker was a lively presence throughout the contest, constantly stretching Arsenal’s backline with his speed and direct approach. In the opening half, Semenyo was particularly influential, slipping past his defender and whipping in a teasing delivery that nearly connected with Erling Haaland.

After a tightly contested first period, City returned from the break with greater authority and sharpness. Nico O’Reilly proved decisive, striking twice in quick succession to tilt the game firmly in City’s favour. Arsenal, despite flashes of promise early on and a late push, were unable to break down a composed and disciplined City side.

Under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, City once again demonstrated their big-game pedigree, managing the closing stages with confidence to seal another domestic honour.

For Semenyo, the triumph carries special meaning. The 24-year-old has steadily built a reputation for his adaptability, work rate, and attacking output this season, and this victory serves as tangible recognition of his progress.
