Ghana international David Abagna Sandan has officially sealed a permanent transfer to Kazakhstani Premier League outfit FC Ordabasy, bringing an end to his stint with Cypriot giants APOEL Nicosia.
The 27-year-old midfielder departs Cyprus after nearly two seasons, during which he gained exposure to European football and further refined his game at a competitive level.
Abagna now turns the page to a new chapter in Kazakhstan, embracing a fresh challenge as he aims to rediscover top form and make a meaningful impact, particularly after recently overcoming a lengthy ACL injury setback.
Before his time in Europe, the former Real Tamale United captain built a solid reputation across multiple clubs, including Wa All Stars, AshantiGold SC, and Sudanese powerhouse Al Hilal.

On the international stage, Abagna has earned seven caps for Ghana, where he has proven to be a dependable presence in midfield when called upon.
With FC Ordabasy currently sitting third on the league table with four points, the Ghanaian will be eager to integrate quickly into the squad. He could make his first appearance for the club in their upcoming clash against FC Kaisar at the Kajymukan Munaitpasov Stadium.
All eyes will be on Abagna as he looks to establish himself as a key figure in his new environment and contribute to the club’s ambitions this season.
