Kelvin Nkrumah delivered a stunning extra-time masterclass to fire Medeama SC into the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup with a commanding 3–0 victory over Attram De Visser FC on Sunday evening at the Cape Coast Stadium.
For much of the evening, the quarter-final encounter was a tense and evenly balanced affair. Both teams showed determination and defensive discipline, cancelling each other out across the regulation 90 minutes despite creating several promising chances in front of goal.

Attram De Visser, the Division One side that had already built a reputation for upsetting bigger opponents in this year’s competition, looked organised and resilient as they held the Ghana Premier League leaders at bay.
However, the complexion of the match shifted dramatically once extra time began.
With the contest hanging in the balance, Nkrumah stepped forward to take centre stage for the Mauve and Yellow. The forward produced a devastating spell in the second half of extra time, finding the net three times in quick succession to settle the tie emphatically.
His clinical hat-trick not only secured Medeama’s passage into the last four but also brought an abrupt end to Attram De Visser’s impressive cup journey.
The lower-tier side had entered the clash brimming with belief after an excellent run in the tournament. They had previously thrashed Eleven Wonders 4–0 in the Round of 16 and were aiming to replicate last season’s heroics when they reached the semi-finals.
Despite their brave resistance, Medeama’s superior depth and Nkrumah’s late brilliance ultimately proved decisive.

The victory now sets up an intriguing semi-final meeting between Medeama and Dreams FC, who booked their place in the next round after edging past Heart of Lions in a penalty shootout earlier.
For the Tarkwa-based outfit, the triumph keeps alive their ambitions of lifting another FA Cup crown while they continue to mount a serious challenge for the Ghana Premier League title.
