Antoine Semenyo finally found his shooting boots again on Monday night, snapping an eight-match goal drought as AFC Bournemouth battled Manchester United to a pulsating 4-4 draw at Old Trafford.

The Ghanaian forward was central to a breathless contest that swung repeatedly from one side to the other. United struck first through Amad Diallo, but Bournemouth hit back in the opening half when Semenyo calmly restored parity, silencing the home crowd and underlining his growing influence in the Cherries’ attack.

Just as Bournemouth looked settled, Casemiro nudged United back in front shortly before the interval, giving the hosts a narrow advantage heading into the break.

Any sense of control vanished immediately after the restart. Bournemouth needed just a minute to level again, Evanilson finishing decisively to reset the contest. Moments later, Marcus Tavernier produced a moment of real quality, curling home a superb free-kick to hand the visitors the lead and tilt momentum firmly their way.

United, however, were far from finished. Bruno Fernandes answered with a sublime free-kick of his own with 13 minutes remaining, dragging Erik ten Hag’s side back into the game. The drama intensified when Matheus Cunha struck late on to put United ahead once more, seemingly setting up a dramatic home victory.

But Bournemouth had the final say. Second-half substitute Eli Junior Kroupi showed remarkable composure and quick footwork to fire home a late equaliser, ripping victory away from United and sealing an unforgettable 4-4 draw.

For Semenyo, the night marked an important personal milestone. The goal was his seventh of the Premier League season and his tenth overall goal contribution, a timely reminder of his value amid ongoing interest from Manchester United themselves.
