Viktoria Plzen forward Prince Kwabena Adu has declared his unwavering ambition to earn a place in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, setting the tone for a fierce personal mission over the coming months.
The 22-year-old attacker, who rose to prominence during his impressive stint with Bechem United, made his senior debut for the Black Stars last Friday in the 2-0 loss to Japan at the Toyota Stadium. He entered the game in the 56th minute, taking the place of skipper Antoine Semenyo and injecting fresh energy into Ghana’s frontline.
With the global tournament in the USA, Canada, and Mexico edging closer, Kwabena Adu says he is fully committed to proving he deserves to be on the plane.

“From now till the commencement of the World Cup, I will work very hard and prove my worth to the coach. I need justify my call up into the national team. I’m working tirelessly to achieve my dream of representing Ghana at the World Cup,” he told Ghana FA’s media.
The young forward has been one of Viktoria Plzen’s standout performers this season, tallying five goals in 14 league matches. His consistency in the Czech top flight has not gone unnoticed, and he is hoping to sustain, if not surpass, his current level as the World Cup approaches.
