Spanish Segunda División outfit Real Zaragoza have completed the permanent signing of Ghanaian youngster Yussif Saidu, activating the buy option in his loan agreement after a string of dazzling performances this season.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who initially arrived from Dansoman XI Wise on a temporary deal, has now committed his future to the Aragonese club with a five-year contract.
Saidu’s journey with Zaragoza began modestly, spending last term developing with the club’s youth setup and Deportivo Aragón before earning a late-season promotion to the senior team. His breakout came during pre-season, where his energy and composure in midfield earned rave reviews from the coaching staff.
Since the start of the 2025 campaign, the Ghanaian starlet has cemented his place in the first team, already featuring in eight matches and impressing with his work rate and technical ability.
Announcing the deal, the club expressed delight over securing his long-term services:
“Saidu has now committed to Real Zaragoza for the remainder of this season and four more years, and the club congratulates him on this important step in his career. We’re still together, Saidu!”
The decision underscores Zaragoza’s faith in the midfielder’s potential as they continue their push for promotion to La Liga.
