Ghanaian speedster Kamaldeen Sulemana has vowed to shelve his famous backflip celebration for good, admitting that a gentle, but firm warning from his parents has finally convinced him to stop.
The Atalanta winger, known for his electric pace and flair, recently lit up the Italian Serie A with a stunning strike against Juventus, and an equally eye-catching acrobatic celebration that instantly went viral. Yet, the 23-year-old now says that moment of pure emotion will be his last.

“My backflip celebration? My parents told me not to do it because it’s dangerous. But against Juventus, it was an adrenaline rush: I didn’t think about it, it came spontaneously. I won’t do it again. I’ll find another celebration,” he said to the press.
Kamaldeen, who came through the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana, revealed that his knack for gymnastics dates back to his early days at the prestigious talent hub, where students are encouraged to explore a range of disciplines beyond football.
“I learned it at the Right to Dream Academy, where, in addition to football, I also did gymnastics,” he explained.
While fans may miss his trademark flips, Kamaldeen insists his true joy lies not in dazzling moves or spectacular celebrations, but in teamwork and creativity on the pitch.
 “I prefer an assist,” he added with a smile.
