Berekum Chelsea FC head coach Samuel Boadu has set his sights high ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, boldly declaring his ambition to guide the club to both the Ghana Premier League crown and an elusive FA Cup triumph.
Chelsea will launch their season this weekend with a blockbuster clash against Asante Kotoko at the Golden City Park, a fixture Boadu admits is never straightforward.
“We know it will be a difficult game. Anytime we host Kotoko here, it turns out to be tough, but we are ready for them,” Boadu remarked to the media, exuding confidence ahead of the opener.

The former Hearts of Oak tactician is determined to push the Berekum outfit beyond their traditional limits. While a top-six finish remains the bare minimum, he is clearly plotting a more ambitious campaign.
“My target this season is to win both the GPL title and the FA Cup. However, at the very least, we want to finish within the top six,” he said.
Boadu’s hunger for the FA Cup is particularly pronounced, with Chelsea yet to etch their name on the knockout competition’s silverware, despite previously conquering the league.
“I seriously need the FA Cup because Chelsea have won the league before, but the FA Cup is still missing. It’s something I want us to achieve this season,” he emphasized.
