Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari expressed his delight after delivering a standout performance in Austin FC’s 3-1 triumph over San Jose Earthquakes in Major League Soccer on Sunday.
The 26-year-old Black Stars forward was central to Austin’s victory at the Q2 Stadium, starting the game and lasting 84 minutes as his side claimed an important three points in the Round 29 clash.
Bukari wasted no time making his mark, firing Austin into the lead in the 12th minute. The move began when Nico Dubersarsky won possession in midfield, with Owen Wolff bursting forward before threading a perfectly weighted pass for Bukari to slot into the far corner.
Before the break, the Ghanaian speedster was again involved, orchestrating the attack that allowed Myrto Uzuni, another Designated Player, to double Austin’s advantage.
San Jose responded in the second half through Daniel Munie’s 53rd-minute strike, but Austin put the game to bed late on when a defensive mishap resulted in an own goal, sealing the 3-1 result.
Taking to social media after the match, Bukari wrote on X: “Happy for the win. Thanks to the fans for the support.”

Bukari’s influence continues to grow in MLS, having tallied three goals and five assists across 27 league appearances this season following his move from Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade.
Despite his strong club form, the winger was not included in Ghana’s squad for their September 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Black Stars are set to face Chad away on September 4 before returning home to play Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 8.
