Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has boldly reiterated his belief that his side will emerge champions of the Ghana Premier League at the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign.
Despite a minor stumble last weekend, the Yellow and Mauve remain firmly in control of the title race. Medeama dropped points in a stalemate against Samartex 1996 in their Matchday 23 clash, a result that trimmed their lead at the summit of the standings.
Even so, Medeama continue to set the pace with 45 points after 23 matches. Their closest challengers, Bibiani Gold Stars, trail by three points on 42 as the competition enters a decisive phase.
With another important fixture on the horizon against Swedru All Blacks, Tanko has urged his players to stay focused and maintain belief as the season heads toward its climax.
“We are still top of the table with a three-point advantage, so our concentration must remain on ourselves,” the former Ghana national football team assistant coach told the club’s media.

Tanko also made it clear that the ambition to secure the league crown is shared throughout the entire club structure.
“Absolutely, the players, board, and management are all committed. We believe strongly that by the end of the season, we will be crowned champions,” he stated.
Medeama will be aiming to recreate the success they achieved two seasons ago when they secured their maiden league title under the guidance of former head coach Augustine Evans Adotey.
With the title race tightening and several crucial matches still to come, Tanko believes the team possesses the unity, experience, and mentality required to once again finish the campaign at the top of Ghanaian football.
